The Flip

Whoo Hooooooo
It's flipped
Thanks to my neighbours and some of their mates we got the hull turned over with no problems

Now the games begin. There were a couple of surprises after the hull was turned over. There is the usual hollow on the stb side at 53.5 which I could see before turning over, it's not too bad so I have already started filling it.
The surprise came when we saw the lack of V in the bow, I'm a little perplexed as we looked under the hull when the frames went in and everything looked very good. So now I'm wondering whether to fill up the area atificially to create a V or just leave it alone.
While I'm thinking about that, there is plenty of fairing to be done on the chine and filling zip tie holes. As you can see I've started filling.

For those wondering what will happen to those zip ties they've just put in to hold everything in place----when you are ready to take 'them out'---Break them off, this will leave annoying little pieces still in the hull. It turns out you can just sand the little plastic bits, still in the hull, with your orbital sander while you sand everything else, pretty easy!
