No more storms please. Brisbane and surrounding areas copped some big rain Monday which caused some flash flooding in some areas.
The 'shed' I'm building in isn't actually big enough on its own to cover my hull. So I've had tarps (I don't know what they are called outside Australia) zip tied to the sides of the shed to cover the rest of the hull and keep the water out. Up until Monday this has been fine.
Monday brought wind gusts in my area of about 30+ knots. One eyelet of the tarp ripped out and that was enough to break all the zip ties and bring the cover down--------ONE VERY WET HULL.
The only area I had not epoxied was the front top sides. One very quick and wet repair job in the storm (and lightening) to get the cover/ tarp back up!!!! No damage done thankfully.
However, it did put me into top gear. Tuesday night, my wife and I glassed from the bow back to the back edge of the cabin top----No More Worrying about the next storm. And tommorrow we will glass the cockpit and top sides.
At this rate we may even be FLIPPING THE HULL this weekend coming--WOO HOOO!!!
